Registration on Tribal Lands
Many native residents do not have a permanent street address. That doesn’t take away their right to vote.
Native Americans may submit tribal identification numbers as proof of citizenship for voter registration purposes.
Acceptable Tribal Identification Numbers and Documents
Enter one of the following tribal identification numbers in Box 10 of the Arizona Voter Registration Form:
Tribal Enrollment Number; or
Indian Census Number; or
Bureau of Indian Affairs Card Number; or
Tribal Treaty Card Number
You may also submit a printed copy of one of the following documents. Please do not send original documents.
Tribal Certificate of Indian Blood; or
Indian Affairs Affidavit of Birth
