School Budget Overrides

What: 10% Maintenance and Operations Budget Override

Why: Allow the school districts to exceed the state-mandated budget limit to provide additional funding for educational programs, staffing, and resources.

When: General Election on November 4, 2025

Where: 

  • Cottonwood-Oak Creek Elementary School District

  • Clarkdale-Jerome Elementary School District

  • Mingus Union High School District

Verde Valley Fire District Bond

What: General Obligation Bond

Why: Allow the fire district to fund emergency communications infrastructure, Clarkdale Fire Station construction, renovations to current stations, and more

When: General Election on November 4, 2025

Where: Verde Valley Fire District, which encompasses Clarkdale, Cornville, and the unincorporated parts of Cottonwood

The City of Prescott

What: 

  • City Council Election - Run-off for 3 open seats

  • Proposition 485 - Vote whether to renew a 25-year franchise agreement between the City of Prescott and APS regarding electric utility services

Where: Within the City of Prescott

When: General Election on November 4, 2025

This is primarily a Vote-By-Mail election! While there are some options for in person voting, the majority of ballots will be cast by mail, so make sure that your voter registration is up to date. Voting By Mail

Ballots will be mailed out on October 8. Ballots can be returned by mail or to the following drop box locations:

  • Cottonwood: County Administration Building at 10 S. 6th St

  • Clarkdale: Town Hall at 39 N. 9th St

  • Prescott: County Administration Building at 1015 Fair St

Voting In Person

There are limited options for in person voting for this election. 

Early Voting

From October 8-November 3, early in person voting is available at one of the County Administration Buildings (info below). 

  • In Cottonwood, the vote center is available Monday-Friday from 8am-11am and 12pm-5pm.

  • In Prescott, the vote center is available Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm.

Election Day Voting

On November 4, 2025, in person voting is available from 8am-7pm at the locations below.
